Pumpkin Madness continues...

In my hunt for the perfect pumpkin spice creamer, I have settled on one.

Today I present the showdown between Coffemate's pumpkin spice and So Dekicious' pumpkin spice.

In the left corner we have coffeemate.

Coffeemate is sugar free and delicious. Downside: aspartame.

In the right corner we have So Delicious.

So Delicious is dairy free low in the sugar count and low on taste as a creamer. This is something to drink on it's own and not in coffee.

For me, the winner is: Coffeemate!
It's delicious, taste like Starbucks without all the chemicals and is affordable. I found this baby at Raleys.

All Things Pumpkin

Ok, this autumn season I have been obsessed with all things pumpkin! I love pumpkin spice lattes from Starbucks. The downer part is all the sugar and chemicals. So I tried to make my own certified g free pumpkin spice creamer.
I started off with one can of sweetened condensed milk.
Next I added some organic non fat milk. I used the can from the condensed milk as a measurement.
Next up was the pumpkin

Then some spices.
And we can't for get the maple syrup
And the vanilla!
Once all the ingredients are added, put the lid on and shake the jar as if your life depended on it.
I made some coffee and tried this out.
Then to taste test:
Verdict: it tasted great. The only thing I wasn't too fond of was the maple syrup aftertaste. I'm not a big maple syrup fan at all. But it did taste good. Until that part.

I found this recipe on Pinterest. Here's the ingredients and measurements. Add everything into a container and shake.

More to try!

Potato Goodness

I found this picture on Facebook and thought, hey, potatoes are g free and I love me a good spud. So I purchased some organic russet potoes and went to work.
I made 5 since we were having company.
Sliced them up, placed them on a foil lined sheet and covered them in olive oil, butter, salt, pepper and garlic salt. I followed the directions and off we went.

They were delicious.

Pop Tarts!!!

I love pop tarts. Smores, strawberry, bluberry and so on. The problem is they are packed full of gluten. Boo.

I have good news! Sunrise Natural Health Foos carries Glutino. And what does Glutino make? That's right! Pop tarts!!!
 I'm so excited!

I lightly toasted it in my toaster and added some butter.
Holy crap! This thing is YUMMY!!!! Taste pretty darn close to the original!

Glutino is a wonderful brand. They make delicious things that taste good and are somewhat healthy. Like all tasty treats...moderation.

Enjoy!

Quick, delicious, easy dinner

My hubs and I are a pretty much over the jet lag from our trip. However, we came home with colds. Boo. Those are on the mend. My point is, trying to make dinner while tired is hard. Here's a super simple and very delicious meal!
Take 1.5 pounds of boneless, skinless chicken breast, slice up a yellow onion and some carrots. Or whatever veggies you want. Through into a deep skillet with olive oil and cook chicken through.
Next, dump this in. Simmer for 10 minutes. Serve chicken mixture over rice. I used white rice. Sooooo yummy! I found the sauce at Raleys. Delicious, hot, fast and easy.

Enjoy!

I'm back!

Ok, I know it's been awhile and I'm sorry about that. I was out of the country and in Spain! And yes, gluten does exist in Spain in a big way. Once I figured out what I could eat, all was well. Anyway, we came back with a cold. Boo. What makes a cold better? Soup!
My mom and dad bought this awesome book for me. I finally had a chance to sit down and go through it. Wow! I want to make everything in it! But alas, I shall start off slow as I am feeling crummy right now.

I flipped through the soup section am selected the Mexican chicken soup. Off to the store I went with my list. I love that it's a crock pot recipe...just through in the ingredients and hit go.

The smell! Oh my gosh! It smells like heaven!
So I dished us up. I added cheese to mine but oh my gosh! It's sooooooo good! Just what a head cold needs. A delicious, not to spicy, hot soup. So far I am greatly pleased with this book. I can't wait to try more recipes!
